Devon Cup Rules 2018

Devon Cup Rules

There is no cost to the rider to enter the Devon Cup, your club will be asked to pay £15-00 a year to enter the cup, this is the same cost as the Cornish Cup and covers the cost of the end of season awards.

The Devon Cup will only be open to riders that are a fully paid members of a Devon Club who are affiliated to the CTT , and their club has paid the £15.00 annual fee to race in the Devon Cup.
The season long cup will be raced over 9 races in the South West these will be incorporated into the existing calender (just like the RNRMCA races) with up to 5 of your best results to count. There will be a points scoring system which is based on the Cornish Cup format, 1st Devon rider home 100 points, 2nd 99, 3rd 98 etc. (Should any rider start and not finish a race they will automatically go to last position and receive the appropriate number of points) By entering a Devon Cup race you will automatically be awarded points in the Devon Cup and appear in the standings. Qualifying date for age groups will be 1st January in the year of competition.

There will be a Facebook Page and hopefully Website page with latest standings& info on both the Devon Cup & the Cornish Cup. (Simon Edney & Tony Farnell are organising this).

Then incorporated in the last race of the season, the Camel Valley S100-25 Sept 21st, the top 15 riders in the standings from each cup will be invited to race in an annual Devon vs Cornwall Cup which will be sponsored by www.simonedney.co.uk.(Should any of the top 15 riders not be able to make it on race day then number 16 in the standings will take the place and so on) This race will again be a points based race scored on the same format as the D & C Cups.
